Overview
Martian List ("we", "us", or "our") operates an invite-only community platform for the service industry. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information such as your name, username, email address, phone number, role, city, profile photo, and biography.
- Invite and registration details, including invite codes, verification status, and onboarding selections.
- Content you submit, including posts, collections, messages, check-ins, deals, events, and other signals you share on the platform.
- Usage and device information such as IP address, browser type, app activity, and diagnostic logs used to secure and improve the Service.
- Location information when you choose to share check-ins, map features, or other location-enabled experiences.
- Communications with us, including support requests and email verification or password reset activity.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including authentication and account security.
- Process invite-only registration, email verification, and role-based onboarding.
- Enable community features such as messaging, followers, recommendations, and vendor or influencer tools.
- Send transactional messages, including invites, verification codes, security alerts, and service updates.
- Moderate content, investigate abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service and community standards.
- Analyze usage trends and improve performance, reliability, and user experience.

Private messages
Direct messages between members are private conversations. Platform administrators do not have access through the product to view, list, or read the contents of private messages exchanged between users.
Messages are delivered only to the participants in each conversation. We may still process message metadata as needed to operate the Service (for example delivery, unread counts, abuse prevention, and security), and we may disclose information when required by law as described in this policy.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it using commercially reasonable methods.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
